Bread Recipes

Grilled Apple and Cheese Sandwich
This snack is a firm favourite in our house, especially on the days when we’re in a hurry, the cupboards are a little bare, and there's no time to go shopping! All you need is bread, cheese and apples, after all!
Cosy Baked Stuffed Apples
This recipe was suggested to us by our good friend Gill in London. It's a really comforting "old-school pud" that you can play around with, and which also works brilliantly for breakfast times.
Rye Bread
Rye bread is much darker than normal white bread or wholemeal. It makes a really delicious loaf and rarely lasts more than 2 days in our house. It's about the only thing I can get my toddler to eat, if he's teething!
Herby Seed Bread
Herbs and seeds can transform a simple loaf of bread. Baking your own is actually surprisingly easy, especially once you’ve practised a few times.
Home-Made Bagels
Home made bagels aren't strictly a vegetable recipe, but they make a great base for all sorts of wonderful toppings and making your own bagels is really easy - and seriously scrummy!
Root Vegetable 'Crumble' with Cheesy Topping
This is a delicious recipe for baby or Chantenay carrots and other roots veggies. The secret ingredient gives it a warming kick. Make the most of your turnips, swedes, parsnips and sweet potatoes. You can also use celeriac or kohlrabi.
